Made entirely out of marble and granite, with towers, gates, domes, arches, courtyards, pavilions, and gardens, it is an intriguing architectural mix of Medieval, European, and Chinese design. Take a short boat ride over the lake to Jag Niwas Island to see the stunning Udaipur Lake Palace. Built-in 1746 out of white marble by Maharana Jagat Singh II, with the Aravalli Hills as a backdrop, it is a veritable marvel. Or, visit Jag Mandir Palace, made of yellow sandstone, the three-story palace dates back to the 1800s. The highlight here is its life-size elephants, made from marble."
