Things to see and do in Prague
Places to Visit

Prague Castle & St Vitus Cathedral
The largest ancient castle complex in the world—1,000 years of architecture from Romanesque to Gothic. Inside St Vitus, sunlight explodes through Alfons Mucha’s stained-glass window into rainbows on the stone floor.

Charles Bridge at Sunrise
600-year-old pedestrian bridge lined with 30 baroque statues of saints who stare solemnly across the Vltava. At 5:30 am you’ll have it completely alone—the castle glows rose-gold behind you, swallows dart under the arches, and the city is still asleep.

Old Town Square & Astronomical Clock
Medieval square surrounded by pastel baroque and gothic façades. Every hour the 1410 Astronomical Clock performs its skeleton-pulled show while trumpeters blast from the tower.
Jewish Quarter (Josefov)
Europe’s most complete Jewish ghetto—six synagogues, the haunting Old Jewish Cemetery with 12,000 leaning tombstones piled twelve deep, and Kafka’s ghost in every shadow.
Letná Park & the Giant Metronome
Hilltop park where Stalin’s massive statue once stood (blown up in 1962). Now a red metronome ticks endlessly with the best panoramic view of Prague’s spires and bridges.
Vyšehrad Fortress
The “other” castle—peaceful clifftop fortress with 10th-century basilica, cubist cemetery of famous Czechs (Dvořák, Mucha), and insane views over the river.
