Things to see and do in Foz do Iguazu
Places to Visit

Iguazu Falls – Argentine Side (Parque Nacional Iguazú)
This is where you live inside the falls. Eight kilometres of steel catwalks snake through dense subtropical jungle, crossing above and beside dozens of individual cascades. The Upper Circuit offers dizzying bird’s-eye views from the very edge; the Lower Circuit places you at the base where the spray is a constant warm rain; and the Devil’s Throat catwalk ends directly over the most powerful waterfall on the planet—an experience that feels like standing at the edge of the world’s creation.

Parque das Aves
Steps from the Brazilian entrance, this world-class rescue and conservation centre lets you walk inside massive aviaries where brilliant toucans, scarlet macaws, and electric-blue hyacinth macaws fly freely around you. The flamingo lagoon glows bubble-gum pink at sunset, butterfly houses burst with morphos the size of your hand, and the harpy eagle enclosure will leave you speechless.

Iguazu Falls – Brazilian Side (Parque Nacional do Iguaçu)
The Brazilian park delivers the single most photographed view on Earth: a sweeping, cinematic panorama from elevated walkways and a final platform that juts into the canyon, placing you face-to-face with the roaring curtain and permanent rainbows. An elevator descends to river level for intimate encounters with the lower falls, and the golden light of early morning or late afternoon turns the entire scene into liquid fire.
Itaipu Binacional Dam
A 7.9 km-long monument of concrete and steel that generates enough electricity to power the world for two days. The panoramic tour shows the mind-boggling scale from the top of the dam wall; the special technical tour takes you inside the turbine hall where the roar rivals the falls. At night, the illuminated spillway and light show are pure cinematic magic.
Sendero Macuco Trail & Secret Waterfall Swim
7 km round-trip through silent jungle—howler monkeys roaring overhead, capuchins shaking branches, butterflies exploding from the path—ending at Arrechea, a hidden waterfall where you can swim alone with the jungle.
Marco das Três Fronteiras
The exact point where Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay meet. A beautifully landscaped viewpoint features an obelisk in each country’s colours, live Guarani cultural performances, and the most spectacular sunset in the region as the sun melts behind two nations while the Iguazu and Paraná rivers merge in a ribbon of molten gold.
