Things to see and do in Coral Coast

Coral Coast – Fiji’s Turquoise Soul on Fire

The Coral Coast is what happens when the Pacific decides to show off. For 100 kilometres along Viti Levu’s southern shore, the ocean turns every possible shade of blue, fringed by long golden beaches and backed by green hills that look photoshopped. Villages of tin-roofed houses and flowering hibiscus line the Queens Road, where kids wave at every passing car and horses graze beside the highway. At dusk, fire-walkers from Beqa island dance barefoot across white-hot stones while drums thunder and the sky explodes in mango and violet. This is mainland Fiji at its most cinematic — no over-water bungalows, just raw beauty, warm smiles, and the best sunsets on the planet.

Top Activities and Experiences on the Coral Coast

Firewalking Ceremony at a Resort

Watch men from Beqa island chant, then walk across burning stones so hot they glow white — then jump in to touch their feet (yes, really).

Sigatoka River Safari

Jet-boat 360° spins up the “Salad Bowl” river to a remote village for kava, lovo lunch, and a welcome that makes you cry.

Half-day boat trip to a tiny island with coral so colourful it hurts and fish that follow you like puppies.

Sigatoka Sand Dunes at Golden Hour

Walk the 20-metre dunes where ancient Lapita pottery still washes up, while the wind sculpts the sand into waves and the ocean roars below.

Kula Wild Adventure Park – Zipline & Animal Encounters

Fly over the jungle canopy, then hand-feed baby crested iguanas and watch Fijian flying foxes stretch their wings.
